The Shoppes at Newburgh Newburgh, NY
Recognized as the last undeveloped corner and considered the gateway into Newburgh by the community, this twelve (12) acre site posed some significant design challenges to development. LRC was retained to produce plans for a multi-building – multi-tenant retail center, address these challenges and make the most of this desirable location.
The site’s topography, a significant descent from Route 300, necessitated the importing of twenty-eight (28) feet of fill materials totaling over one hundred twenty-five thousand (125,000) cubic yards. Constraints of off-site storm water design considerations impacted the shape and size of the effective available site parameters. Additionally, it was necessary to secure rights across state owned property in order to gain access to State Route 17K.
LRC’s site design and engineering solutions overcame each of the aforementioned challenges, and the site was built and occupied.
