Nestled in the picturesque Hudson Valley village of Rhinebeck, the Mirbeau Inn & Spa offers a luxurious retreat that combines world-class accommodations, spa services, and gourmet dining in a serene and accessible setting. This 50-room boutique hotel is one of four distinct Mirbeau Group properties located in New York and Massachusetts, each offering a unique and refined experience. The Rhinebeck location is ideally situated within walking distance of the charming village and its vibrant amenities, surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Hudson Valley and easily accessible by car or train.
Designed to provide guests with a seamless hospitality experience, the site features a grand entrance and arrival sequence that immediately sets the tone for relaxation and indulgence. A majority of the parking is conveniently tucked away in an underground garage beneath the hotel, preserving the site’s aesthetics and enhancing the guest experience. At the heart of the property is a luxurious spa, which includes an outdoor heated pool and a serene patio lounge, offering a tranquil space for guests to unwind.
LRC Group played a pivotal role in the development of this project, providing comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services. Our team worked through numerous hotel configuration iterations before finalizing the design concept for the Mirbeau property. Navigating the local land use permitting process was a complex and thorough endeavor, and LRC led or supported each phase—from zoning approval to design review.
The site presented several unique challenges, including the integration of environmentally sensitive areas, wetlands mitigation, and the development of state-mandated Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), all of which were addressed by LRC and our team of expert consultants.
As part of a collaborative effort with Arrowstreet Inc. architects, LRC provided land survey, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services throughout the permitting process. The Mirbeau Inn & Spa opened its doors to guests in the fall of 2019, marking the culmination of a meticulously designed destination that perfectly balances luxury, functionality, and environmental stewardship.
